Team Profile
Tonga qualified for the Hertz Sevens at the Oceania Sevens tournament in October. They featured at the Gold Coast Sevens and Wellington will be their next tournament on the World Series circuit. In 2011, they reached the Bowl final only to be knocked out by Kenya. Tonga plays with flair and strength when running the ball. After their Rugby World Cup team found luck in Wellington beating finalists France, their sevens side will be looking forward to similar success on the same surface.
Tonga's Cheerleaders
Between aisles 7 and 8 the 'Tongan Ninjas 2012' Cheerleaders will have you up in your seats supporting Tonga each time the hit the field.
From midday Thursday 2nd February until 6pm Saturday 4th February you can text vote for your favourite cheerleader squad by texting* the name of the country they're supporting to 5678. E.g. TONGA. The three squads with the most public votes are then judged and the winning squad takes home $7,000! Plus you go in the draw to win two tickets to the 2013 Hertz Sevens.
