Despite losing in Wellington to arch-rivals Fiji in 2010, the small Pacific nation went on to clinch their first World Series title in 2009/2010 proving they can foot it with the big boys. Samoa were, however, Cup winners in Wellington in 2007 in their only ever Hertz Sevens title. Having competed for the World Series since it began in Dubai in 1999, this will be their 104th tournament.

Between aisles 30 and 31 the 'SaMove Your Body' Cheerleaders will have you up in your seats supporting Samoa each time the hit the field.
From midday Thursday 2nd February until 6pm Saturday 4th February you can text vote for your favourite cheerleader squad by texting* the name of the country they're supporting to 5678. E.g. SAMOA. The three squads with the most public votes are then judged and the winning squad takes home $7,000! Plus you go in the draw to win two tickets to the 2013 Hertz Sevens.
