The second most successful side at this tournament, with three Wellington titles to their record, Fiji are always firing and dangerous with ball in hand. Their flare for the game of sevens is undeniable, making them a crowd favourite as they create opportunities from nothing and can beat anyone on their day. Fiji are the current 2011/2012 HSBC Sevens World Series leader, tied with New Zealand. If the two sides meet in Wellington then it is sure to be a match not to miss.
Fiji's Cheerleaders
Between aisles 5 and 6 the 'Fijian Dolls 2012' Cheerleaders will have you up in your seats supporting Fiji each time the hit the field.
From midday Thursday 2nd February until 6pm Saturday 4th February you can text vote for your favourite cheerleader squad by texting* the name of the country they're supporting to 5678. E.g. FIJI. The three squads with the most public votes are then judged and the winning squad takes home $7,000! Plus you go in the draw to win two tickets to the 2013 Hertz Sevens.
