With a narrow three point loss to Scotland in the Bowl Final in South Africa, Canada will be hoping to go one step better in Wellington. Their women’s side claimed the first IRB Women’s Sevens Challenge Cup in Dubai and this type of achievement for an Ice Hockey mad nation will only give the game of Sevens greater recognition and resources which is fantastic. Wellington will be their 93rd Tournament.

Between aisles 2 and 3 the 'Woppin Wallys' Cheerleaders will have you up in your seats supporting Canada each time the hit the field.
From midday Thursday 2nd February until 6pm Saturday 4th February you can text vote for your favourite cheerleader squad by texting* the name of the country they're supporting to 5678. E.g. CAN. The three squads with the most public votes are then judged and the winning squad takes home $7,000! Plus you go in the draw to win two tickets to the 2013 Hertz Sevens.
