Finalists Last Year
16 cheerleading squads from 47 entries made it through to be the first official Sevens Cheerleaders in 2011.
They had the experience of a lifetime including hitting the streets of Wellington in the Sevens Street Parade, performing multiple times on the field at the tournament, meeting the players, being on the big screen, a shot at $7000 and so much more.
Each squad was assigned 2 aisles in Westpac Stadium with the aim is to get everyone in their aisles behind the team they're cheering for. There was singing, chanting, acrobatics, amazing dance moves, and some not so amazing dance moves. But it was above all entertaining and got the fans supporting the players as they went to battle on the field.
The New Zealand Crazy Horses took out the grand prize of $7,000! NZ Crazy Horses, Supporting the baddest/ coolest/ most gangsta team on the field- NEW ZEALAND. Inspired by all the Crazy Horses World wide, see you on the field BOY!
